A Lesson in Crowd Noise

Here's a clip from the 1988 ND-Michigan game when Notre Dame Stadium was literally rocking. Remember, this clip is from '88 when there were 20,000 fewer seats in the stadium... More...

I remember this game, it was f-in awesome. I still can't believe they threw an f-in flag on the crowd.
The crowd last Saturday was awesome, but nothing compared to this. Once we start playing for some NC's we should see this type of crowd again. Closest we came to that type of atmosphere under Weis/Willy/Davie was Weis' 1st year vs. USC.

It probably wouldn't be easy to repeat that noise, but I bet the students could get close if the university actual let us play night games at home...

Man, I wish every game sounded at least as good as this past Saturday's. You could even feel it watching the game on TV. We need to get a homefield advantage again....Teams should be intimidated to come to South Bend, not looking forward to it. I am still pissed about all the losers that sold tickets to Nebraska fans back in 1998(?). That was a damn disgrace to see an ND home game with a sea of red in the crowd....Hammond and Haden loved it of course.
